Book Study and Discussion: Defending Your Faith Group Leader: Jim Mcdonel Discussion group. The book being read is Defending Your Faith by R.C. Sproul. This selection is a "how to" and "why to" on Christian Apologetics. It has nothing to do with saying you are sorry, but it explains and defends Christianity. Weekly reading required.
Disciple II "Lite" Into the World. Group leader: John Eddy A study of Genesis/Exodus and Luke/Acts. Daily readings will complement the weekly short video and workbook discussion. No previous Disciple Study required.
Faithlinks Leader: John Brewer "Faithlink: Connecting Faith and Life as United Methodists" is a weekly, topical study sent from the Methodist General Board of Discipleship. Most members of the class receive the lesson by email during the week prior to the class, but for those who don't, the first few minutes are spent reading the lesson. Then we have open and often lively discussion exploring the issues and questions raised. Each week is different, the topics are wide ranging. Past discussions have included: alcoholism, angels, civility, war, creativity, unity, world events like floods, earthquakes, ethical issues, genetics/cloning. This is an opportunity for meaningful discussion and exploration with fellow Christians. Since each week is different this is an excellent class for people who may not be able to attend regularly.
Marriage and Family Life Group leaders: John & Julie Suckow Laugh Your Way to a Better Marriage. Improve your marriage and reduce marital problems. A video series that uses hilarious marriage tips and insights while exploring underlying dynamics of male/female relationships. No homework. Class will watch DVD and have a discussion.
