Faith, Hope, and Luck
Discover what you can expect from God
Starting Sunday, October 16, at 6:00 PM, Pastor Dave will begin a five week Andy Stanley series called Faith, Hope, and Luck. Is there really any difference between faith, hope, and luck? What is the cause-and-effect relationship between what we do and what God will do? Or is there one? Come and join us as we explore together. We will meet in the Welcome Center on October 16, 23, 30, and November 13 & 20. Sign up in the Welcome Center.

MANNA (Meals and Nearly New Acquaintances) Ministry
We are looking for new ways to socialize with our new church members as well as get to know some that have been around awhile! MANNA will be comprised of 2 groups. Group 1 will be made up of those individuals or couples who would be willing to host a dinner for 6-10 people in their home. Group 2 will be made up of those who want to join in dinner but are unable to host. Hosts will provide the meeting place and the main course for dinner, all other attendees will bring a dish as arranged by their host.
Initially, MANNA is being planned as an every other month event. The date of each dinner will be set and signup sheets will be posted for available hosts and participants for that date. Efforts will be made to change the dining groups up, so in the course of the year, you will have the opportunity to dine with many different members of the CUMC family.
MANNA is open to all adult singles and couples. For further information, please contact Jack or Sharon Jaeger through our church office at 759-8921.

Celebrate Recovery
Celebrate Recovery meets every Tuesday at 7:00 PM. Refreshments are served in the Welcome Center. Contact the church office or Pastor Dave at 759.8921.
The purpose of Celebrate Recovery is to fellowship and celebrate God’s healing power in our lives through the 8 Recovery Principles found in the Beatitudes and Christ-centered 12 steps. This experience allows us to be changed. We open the door by sharing our experiences, victories, and hopes with one another. In addition, we become willing to accept God’s grace in solving our life problems. By working and applying these Biblical principles, we begin to grow spiritually. We become free from our addictive, compulsive, and dysfunctional behaviors. This freedom creates peace, serenity, joy, and most importantly, a stronger personal relationship with God and others. As we progress through the principles and the steps, we discover our personal, loving and forgiving Higher Power-JESUS CHRIST.
Parents of Young Children
This exciting ministry meets once-a-month on Friday evenings from 6:00PM to 8:00PM.
If you have children from zero to Grade 5, (or even if you don’t have children) please join us for Parents of Young Children. This is the perfect time to join in the fun and meet other parents at CUMC!
Pizza and drinks will be provided. Please bring a SIMPLE side dish or a SIMPLE dessert. (Carrots and Oreos count)! After dinner, we provide childcare for your children and the adults have some quality time to get to know each other (usually with a lot of laughs)! We usually wrap-up around 8:00 PM. Our first session this year is October 14, 2011. For future planning purposes, please mark these dates on your calendars as the next gatherings:
