The music ministry touches every area of the church from children to adults. We seek to help people develop and use their talents to glorify God, and to enhance our worship services. You are invited to get involved in the music ministry of CUMC. If you enjoy singing or if you play in instrument, there is a place for you to use your gifts.
Chancel Choir
Rehearsals are every Wednesday evening from 7:00 to 8:30 and the choir sings each Sunday morning during the 11:00 worship service. If you are in high school or older we would love to have you come and sing with us. New singers are welcome and needed! Ability to read music is not necessary, just the ability to sing on pitch. Even if you cannot commit to rehearsals every Wednesday, come and check us out any Wednesday evening. We have a great time of fellowship as we sing together. Rehearsal CDs can be made available
Praise Team

The Praise Team meets on Thursday evenings from 7:00 to 8:30 and leads in worship at the 8:45 AM Sunday Service. The Praise Team is made up of a worship band and singers. New singers (high school and older) are always welcome. This energetic group leads worship in a contemporary style.

Bells of Praise

The Handbell Choir, under the direction of Karen Halbert, will rehearse Wednesday evenings at 6:45 for beginners and 7:30 for regular handbell players. The bell choir plays in worship services several times throughout the year. New ringers are always welcome. People of all ages (both male and female) from high school and up are encouraged to join. If you enjoy hearing bells ring why not join us on Wednesday evenings?

Instrumental Music

Youth and Adult musicians are invited to play special solos or ensembles during Sunday morning worship services. Young people who play an instrument are encouraged to play for our Family Christmas program. Please let Diane Kofahl know if you would like to play.

CUMC Orchestra

The CUMC Orchestra, under the direction of Ray Halbert, is made up of advanced youth and adults and plays several times throughout the year. Please let Ray know if you would like to be part of this ministry.

Children's Choir

Children’s Choir (grades K through 6) will sing for some special services throughout the year. Rehearsals will be on Wednesday evenings at 6:30 on an announced basis.

Tech Team – Sound and Video Operators
The unsung heroes of the Worship and Music Department are those dedicated sound and video operators needed at our worship services and all special presentations. New help is always appreciated.
We have a wonderful wealth of talent at CUMC. Let's all join together to "Make a joyful noise to the Lord."
